NUWAY Alliance is currently seeking candidates to work as a Regional Food Services Supervisor in a Full-time capacity with multiple opening across the Saint Paul/Minneapolis Area. The pay rate for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.

Position Overview
Utilizing a full-service kitchen, the Area Food Service Supervisor is responsible for preparing nutritious meals ensuring special dietary needs are incorporated into the menu for clients in a residential treatment facility or preparing pre-packaged snacks for outpatient treatment programs. The Area Food Service Supervisor is responsible for maintaining appropriate health standards for food preparation and kitchen cleanliness, as well as maintain a professional yet friendly relationship with residential and outpatient program clients who may be in an interim recovery point in their lives. The Area Food Service Supervisor will coordinate all meal preparation and supervise staff in the Rochester locations.
This position must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
  • Age 21 or older
  • Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
  • Attain ServSafe Certification within six months of assuming position, and renew as necessary
  • Attain Minnesota Food Manager Certification within six months of assuming position, and renew as necessary
  • Physical Demands: Daily use of computer, phone, and kitchen facility equipment. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, lifting (max 50 pounds) with frequent reaching, bending and stooping. Ability to effectively navigate program or office environment such as ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing program/office facilities.
  • Broad cooking skills in a variety of venues with regard to the preparation and serving of nutritional meals on a full service, 3 meal a day basis
  • Working knowledge of kitchen operating procedures including food handling and cleanliness following Safe Serv practices
  • Ability to travel between locations
  • Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English
Preferred:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years related experience preparing food in a “scratch” kitchen
  • Previous experience in an addiction treatment residential facility
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work on a team
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Minnesota Driver’s License without restrictions
