Location: Southeast Minnesota (Home-Based)
Target Earnings: $70,000-$75,000+ (Base + Commission)
Looking for a sales role where you can build relationships, work independently, and make a real impact in your local communities? Heartland Security Services is seeking a driven Regional Account Manager to grow our presence across Southeast Minnesota.
Owned by Minnesota-based electric cooperatives, Heartland Security Services designs and installs custom home and business security solutions that protect people and property. Our award-winning emergency response, exceptional service, and competitive rates give customers confidence and peace of mind-every day.
This is a field-based role where you start and end your day from home.
The Opportunity
As a Regional Account Manager, you'll represent Heartland Security with integrity and professionalism while building lasting relationships with new and existing customers. You'll design customized security solutions, guide customers through the sales process, and partner closely with cooperatives and internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys face-to-face interaction, managing their own territory, and earning commission based on performance.
Territory & Travel
  • Covers Southeast Minnesota (south of I-90 and east of I-35)
  • Travel throughout the territory to customer sites
  • Ideal home base locations include Rochester, Austin, Albert Lea, or Blue Earth

What You'll Do
  • Schedule and manage customer appointments from incoming leads
  • Meet with customers in person to assess needs and design tailored security solutions
  • Accurately complete sales documentation and submit completed sales for approval
  • Perform basic technical assessments, including:
  • Internet speed tests
  • Cellular coverage evaluations
  • Wi-Fi testing for camera systems
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local electric cooperatives
  • Attend cooperative meetings, annual events, home shows, and community events
  • Analyze your sales pipeline and identify new lead-generation opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth installations and satisfied customers
  • Support existing customers with system upgrades and equipment additions
  • Complete administrative tasks such as mileage logs and expense reports
  • Partner with Administration as needed on bad-debt follow-up

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Sales experience recommended

Licenses/Certificates
  • Must possess valid Driver's license, proof of insurance, as well as pass a background check, and drug testing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be self-motivated, good oral/written communication skills, possess positive ethical business values.
  • Ability to understand basic computer programs, as well as understand math concepts
