We are looking for a dynamic and results-orientated Assistant Business Controller to join our team!

The Assistant Business Controller is responsible for providing support to the Business Control Manager, US Operations - in the day-to-day tasks of analyzing, reporting and supporting the administrative and operational areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Business Control Manager in managing daily financial operations, including results review and reporting, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, strategic business plans, fixed asset acquisition analysis and control, inventory valuation and control, and overall asset protection.

  • Provide timely analysis, planning, and implementation of financial and reporting systems to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures across all units.

  • Assist the Business Control Manager with monthly financial closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. This includes timely analysis of accounts during closing.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product cost.

  • Initiate, organize, and review systems and procedures to deliver accurate and meaningful information to unit and executive management.

  • Support the Business Control Manager in managing employee incentive plans, ensuring proper measurement, calculation, and distribution of results according to company guidelines.

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial analyses and special projects-including appropriation requests (ARs)-to support effective management decisionmaking.

  • Assist the Business Control Manager in conducting regular forecasts and reviews with business unit management to share financial results and promote continuous learning.

  • Work with government and local authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

  • Process internal Sandvik invoicing as required.

  • Create and maintain construction queries and reports to meet operational requirements, while analyzing, monitoring, and managing business activities to support datadriven decisionmaking.

  • Provide troubleshooting support for internal systems (e.g., GSS, SopicP) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access).

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE:

  • Ensure compliance with the ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).

  • Adhere to all company rules and safety policies.

  • Performs other activities as assigned or required in support of the business.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Analytical & problem-solving skills.

  • PC literate, numerate, with attention to detail.

  • Team player & Customer oriented mindset.

  • Good oral and verbal communication skills.
