Salary: This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position at 232 days, with a salary in the range of $81,352 - $88,729. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon grant renewal.
Job Summary (Primary Purpose):
Oversee the Texas Strategic Staffing initiative for participating Region 13 districts. Provide technical assistance to awarded districts and their partner Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) for successful implementation of the Texas Strategic Staffing initiative aligned to grant program guidelines. Support the awarded districts through a design process and implementation process over a two-year span of time.
Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certificates):
  • Teaching Certificate Required
  • Administrative Certificate Required
  • Master's Degree Required
  • Demonstrated track record of LEA leadership and campus-level technical assistance, including strategic decision making, change management, campus-to-district level alignment, or operational decisions

Preferred Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certificates):
  • Minimum three (3) years experience in campus and/or district administration
  • Experience coordinating communication among multiple departments and stakeholders preferred
  • Familiarity and preferably direct prior experience with school finance and operations, particularly staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Strong communications and session facilitation skills

  • Ability to internalize and deliver training content designed by others

Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Serve as the Technical Assistance Provider for LEAs who are awarded Texas Strategic Staffing through the LASO grant opportunity from the Texas Education Agency
  • Attend all required trainings for Texas Strategic Staffing
  • Effectively onboard all new districts awarded the LASO grant for Texas Strategic Staffing work
  • Facilitate Texas Strategic Staffing design process and implementation with LEA leadership and campus-level teams. This involves a one-year design process followed by a one-year implementation process.
  • Prepare and facilitate all design sessions for participating LEAs
  • Attend all governance meetings between participating LEAs and their EPP partners
  • Drive alignment and coordination across LEAs, educator preparation programs (EPPs), and residency technical assistance providers throughout the process. As part of this process, ESCs will also support EPPs in understanding the context of LEAs as part of high-quality residency desig
  • Connect LEAs to other relevant ESC support areas at the right point in the process given LEA context and needs - e.g., high quality instructional material expertise, TIL capacity-building for teacher leaders within new staffing models, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
