We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with large-scale cooling systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, and rack systems
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and control systems
  • Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and temperature control
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Handle refrigerants in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures promptly
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role
  • Technical certification or diploma in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and components
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficiently
  • Familiarity with safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supermarket rack refrigeration systems and large-scale installations
  • Certification in refrigerant handling (EPA or equivalent/local certification)
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience with energy management systems and controls
