The role of the Global Strategic Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. They will cover our largest global clients, aligned to the company's strategy and supporting the global directives. This role will drive a high-performance culture within the Americas region. By collaborating with internal partners, the strategic global Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position will manage a defined global book of business and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals. They will also open up larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution and Proposition Sales.
Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities as a Global Strategic Account Manager include sales goals, business development, strategic account planning, client relationship management and customer support on Refinitiv's most prominent strategic accounts. Individually, a successful account manager demonstrates accountability for the retention and growth of a multi-million-dollar book of business.
They are responsible for growing Refinitiv revenue and market share at high value and complex designated accounts to achieve Refinitiv's strategic objectives.
Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision maker's strategies, priorities and needs
Maintain solid understanding of Refinitiv propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts
Drive growth by expanding Refinitiv footprint within their accounts
Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement and expanding and retaining managed net revenue
Oversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end-to-end customer relationship
Drive efficiency in account administration (especially for lower value and growth potential accounts)
Manage internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals
Accountable and responsible for simple order taking Emerging & Growth Model;
Account Managers Growth accounts will manage a defined book on a proactive basis
Account Managers for Emerging may manage a pooled book of accounts on a reactive basis
All Account Managers in Emerging and Growth are responsible for revenue retention (primarily), sales, and administration of their accounts
Qualifications and Experience Required
Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflows
Industry experience within the customer segment
Strong product knowledge
Relationship building skills
Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
Strong negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency
Problem solving--ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization
Ability to collaborate with account team
University/college degree may be required; equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/department
Significant work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow required
Proven account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment required
Customer relationship management required throughout all levels within an organization
Prefer 3 - 5 years' experience covering global accounts

Compensation/Benefits Information:
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $141,000 - $235,000.Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
