Scaffolding Manager 

Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings, LLC of Tampa FL, is looking to hire a Scaffolding Manager This Scaffolding Manager position earns competitive pay commensurate with experience. This position serves as the operational leader responsible for establishing, managing, and growing Anchor Sandblasting & Coatings' Scaffolding Division. The Manager is accountable for safe execution of all scaffold operations, business development, estimating support, customer relationship management, workforce development, and financial performance. The position provides leadership to scaffold crews while partnering with Operations, Estimating, Safety, and Executive Management to expand Anchor's presence throughout regional shipyards and industrial facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide overall leadership of the scaffolding division including operations, safety, quality, scheduling, staffing, estimating support, and business growth.
  • Develop annual business plans and identify opportunities to increase scaffold revenue within existing shipyard customers and new industrial markets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with shipyard project managers, maintenance planners, procurement personnel, and contractors.
  • Perform customer visits, job walks, bid reviews, and scope development.
  • Prepare conceptual scaffold layouts and assist with labor, equipment, and material estimates.
  • Plan scaffold projects from mobilization through demobilization.
  • Manage scaffold inventory, logistics, deliveries, and equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise scaffold foremen and crews while coaching future leaders.
  • Conduct scaffold inspections as Competent Person and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Lead safety meetings, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with blasting and coatings operations to support production schedules.
  • Monitor productivity, gross margin, labor utilization, change orders, and project costs.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate scaffold personnel.
  • Maintain accurate reports, inspection documentation, payroll, and production records.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by executive management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five years scaffold construction experience and three years supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience in marine, shipyard, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Competent Person Scaffold Certification required or ability to obtain immediately.
  • OSHA 30, TWIC Card, and valid driver's license required/preferred as applicable.
  • Strong estimating, scheduling, customer service, and leadership skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Expert knowledge of OSHA scaffold regulations and safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of system scaffold, tube & clamp, frame scaffold, shoring, stair towers, and temporary access.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and reporting skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Relevant trade certifications preferred. Shipyard and industrial leadership experience required.
