City : Morristown State : Indiana (US-IN) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 46113 A Day in the Life:The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance repairs in a soybean processing facility. They perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required. Work is of a nature where decisions are made within limits and guidelines of general practices and procedures under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.Position Details:6p-6a or 6a-6p rotating 12-hour shiftPay: $34.73 an hourWhat You?ll Be Doing:Perform maintenance activitiesProblem solve and troubleshoot equipment failurePerform emergency and preventative mechanical and electrical repairs on all equipment (includes cleaning, lubricating, adjusting parts, equipment and machinery)Support the production lines and address any abnormal conditions of the machineryWork with operators to monitor all safety items on the machines and keep them in optimal operating conditionWelding and pipefitting as necessaryMaintain tool inventory, verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and stored correctlyPerform other duties and functions as neededMinimum Qualifications:Maintenance experience in an industrial environment (3-5 years preferred)High school diploma or GEDAbility to read and understand blueprintsKnowledge of manufacturing equipment: including pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and various power sourcesUnderstanding of basic computer functionsComfort working in all weather conditions, at heights, in confined spaces, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basisPreferred Qualifications:Good manufacturing practicesLock out tag outGeneral rigging practicesBenefits:Health Benefits Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs.401(k) Retirement Plan Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.Family Support Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverage.Tuition Reimbursement Contributing to your education by reimbursing $5,000 of tuition expenses annually.Vacation time- We value work-life balance and offer a generous vacation program.
