Job description

The ASR Group family of companies make up the world's largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar. OVERVIEW

Works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment is in their assigned area is kept in top running condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing maintenance services through the refinery.
  • Performs mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance services, including; troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
  • Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
  • Work with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
  • Will be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
  • Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization

PAY RATE

  • Hourly rate: $43.04
