Job description

Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will perform market analysis and research supporting the needs of our commercial organization. You will also provide recurring updates on the status of commodity markets, with focus on impacts to HF Sinclair.
Job Duties
  • Monitors industry dynamics and trends providing updates to broader organization
  • Maintains fundamental models and reports including crude/product supply-demand balances and key trade flow tracking
  • Prepares and presents macro news flow regularly to commercial crude and marketing departments
  • Supports presentation development for leadership team quarterly earnings preparation
  • Assists others in the department as needed with financial analyses, reports, and market updates

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion
Experience
A minimum of three years related experience required.
Preferred Experience:
Previous energy or commodity market experience
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in economics, engineering, finance or accounting.
Required Skills
Basic understanding of energy or commodity markets. Detail oriented with strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, Excel and PowerPoint in particular. Ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations. Self-starter with the ability to think critically and communicate effectively.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
None.
Work Conditions
Office based with travel required up to 10% by land and air with occasional visits into a refinery environment. Subject to varying road and weather conditions.
