Basic Requirements:
Education:
Undergraduate Education: Major study -- any field of study in an accredited college or university. Graduate Education: Major study -- fields related to the position to be filled.
OR
Specialized Experience: Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
- Working as a skilled mechanic or maintenance worker, sales or service engineer, or planner or estimator in a technical group dealing with manufacture, utilization, repair, or operation of equipment.
- Reviewing and applying technical specifications and requirements.
- Analyzing equipment and forecasting spare parts requirements.
- Reading and interpreting engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders.
- Analyzing contract specifications and examining pertinent equipment to determine if specifications are met.
- Analyzing or supervising maintenance, repair, or production operations to determine methods of improvement.

In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements, applicants must have the following:
Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:
- Experience in managing vehicle fleet's life cycle to include maintenance schedules, repairs, mileage, fuel usage, using a CMMS.
- Experience in managing fleet fuel card Program , DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA compliance.
- Experience in registering Government fleet vehicles to Federal requirements, gathering permits for oversized loads.
- Experience in purchasing vehicles from GSA, building annual budgets for vehicle replacement, and up fitting vehicles with law enforcement equipment.
If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
