Job description

Position Purpose

The Procurement Specialist for Reefer FCL Export plays a key role in strengthening our global Reefer Sea offering by securing competitive and reliable procurement of ocean freight capacity and related services. The role supports our Americas Reefer export operations with a strong focus on vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring Best-in-Town service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

·        Develop, maintain, and negotiate rates and service contracts with ocean carriers, NVOCCs, trucking vendors, and cold-chain service providers.

·        Secure competitive FCL reefer export rates and space allocations.

·        Build strong relationships with key ocean carriers.

·        Monitor supplier service performance and drive improvements.

·        Support structured procurement strategy and identification of target suppliers.

·        Collaborate with Operations to ensure procured services match cargo requirements.

·        Assist with escalations on priority shipments.

·        Monitor and analyze cost structures and find optimization opportunities.

·        Maintain procurement data, tariffs, and vendor information.

·        Work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Reefer leadership.

Qualifications

·        2–5 years experience in ocean freight procurement, freight forwarding, or reefer logistics.

·        Knowledge of reefer container equipment and temperature‑controlled logistics.

·        Negotiation experience with carriers or vendors.

·        Analytical mindset and ability to evaluate cost structures.

·        Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
