Facility Name: St. Elizabeth Hospital

Schedule: Full-Time Start Bonus: $5,000

Base salary: $325,000 for 144 night shifts

Sign-on bonus: $50,000

Seniority bonus (7+ years post-residency experience): $10,560

Relocation assistance (if applicable): Up to $10,000

Productivity incentives: 2.5% Quality Metric bonus annually

$4,000 CME allowance

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Nocturnist to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Ascension Wisconsin is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for our Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Wisconsin to provide medical services to patients.

  • Collaborative Care Model: Enjoy a high degree of clinical autonomy as the overnight physician, working side-by-side with a dedicated night APP partner. Backed by a seamless handoff from our daytime team of four physicians and two APPs, you will manage an incredibly sustainable average of only 8 admissions per night.
  • Optimal Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a highly predictable and sustainable 7-on/7-off schedule (6:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 AM, 144 shifts annually) designed to support an excellent quality of life outside the hospital.
  • Lead Acute Interventions: Serve as the clinical anchor overnight by evaluating and treating acute admissions and responding to code blue and rapid response calls in a semi-closed ICU setting.
  • Procedure Flexibility: Have the clinical autonomy to perform procedures if you choose, with the ultimate peace of mind knowing you are supported by an experienced nursing team and a full complement of sub-specialists.
  • Champion Quality & Efficiency: Partner with the medical staff to improve cost-effectiveness and patient outcomes, earning eligibility for a 2.5% annual quality metric bonus alongside a seniority bonus.
  • Document Excellence: Capture the patient story with precision and care, maintaining high-quality records that serve as a reliable roadmap for the daytime team.

  • Board Certification/Eligibility: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Hospitalist experience preferred).
  • Licensure: Eligible for Wisconsin state medical licensure and DEA registration.
