Volunteer Services Coordinator 
For one year, get paid to build sustainable solutions in a community, gain valuable hands-on experience and prepare for your future. This full-time AmeriCorps service position offers a great opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others while building your own knowledge and skillset.  
AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.
What will you do? 
The volunteer services coordinator helps recruit, train, schedule and recognize volunteers while growing the volunteer base and advancing individual and group partnerships. Market within the community to recruit new volunteers. Develop new events and opportunities for volunteers to engage with the mission of Habitat for Humanity. Serve primarily in the office supporting the Volunteer Services department at Pensacola Habitat for Humanity, with some days starting at 7:30 a.m. at active jobsites to check in volunteers.
Typically serve Monday - Friday plus some Saturday mornings, to support work on the build site or the Restore. 
Recruit and schedule volunteers for construction, office, ReStore, deconstruction, family services and special events opportunities. 
Assist with all aspects of volunteer management including orientations, maintenance of database, volunteer tracking and follow-up. 
Work with construction staff to ensure successful volunteer build days - signing volunteers in, providing orientation and safety briefings, helping put away tools with volunteers at the end of the day and ordering necessary volunteer supplies. 
Develop and/or revise volunteer recruitment, management and recognition tools.
This position will focus on volunteer services aspects of Habitat affiliate operations.

The area is also home to the National Naval Aviation Museum and Naval Air Station Pensacola, where the Blue Angels are based. Downtown Pensacola features historic architecture, local restaurants, art galleries, and community events throughout the year. The city has a rich military and maritime history, with attractions such as Historic Pensacola Village and Fort Pickens. Residents and visitors enjoy outdoor activities year round thanks to the mild climate, including hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring nearby state parks and nature preserves. Pensacola offers a mix of coastal lifestyle, strong community engagement, and growing economic development, making it an inviting place to live and serve.
Unique projects: This position supports volunteer engagement across all of our programs, including construction build days, office support, the Habitat ReStore, and our special builds (Pride Build, Women Build, Faith Build) and events. The member recruits and schedules volunteers, conducts orientations, maintains volunteer records and follow-up, and works with construction staff to run smooth, safe build days.
When will you serve? 
Start dates are flexible and based on this location's availability. Talk to the hiring manager for this position about start dates during your interview process. The start date will be 4-6 weeks from receiving an offer and no earlier than September 2026.
