Job description

SUMMARY: Partners closely with the Human Resources Manager to execute full-cycle recruiting strategies that support the organization's staffing goals. Drives an efficient and positive candidate experience by coordinating applicant flow, interviews, and onboarding while continuously improving recruitment processes. Collaborates with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and Human Resources Manager to manage all plant-level hiring activities and represents the company at networking events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives to attract top talent and strengthen the employer brand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned at management's discretion.
  • Assists in coordinating the search and review of salaried and hourly team members. Identifies and builds network of agencies to partner with for community recruitment initiatives.
  • Sources and conducts prescreen interviews with candidates and summarizes for candidate records. Possesses excellent interviewing and people assessment skills.
  • Schedules and coordinates in-person interviews with the hiring managers. Maintains timely communication with applicants and hiring managers, providing maximum service approach.
  • Proposes and executes new recruiting efforts, working with the Human Resources Manager and the Talent Acquisition Specialist to support overall recruiting program.
  • Represents Daily's Premium Meats at local or non-local job fairs. Possesses excellent communication skills to present information regarding employment opportunities with Daily's to individuals, groups of potential candidates, businesses, and organizations. Must be able to build strong local and non-local networking relationships and be proficient in social and professional networking.
  • Able to become familiar with production needs, authorized staffing requirements, and know the status of open positions. Frequent interaction with operations management.
  • Maintains confidentially of all applicant information and that of the Human Resources department.
  • Communicates effectively with plant management and the corporate team to inform of upcoming staffing needs as well as progress of open requisitions.
  • Maintain a teamwork approach through effective communication among all levels of employees and management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must perform each essential duty/function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the work environment, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required or preferred. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 year+ high volume recruiting preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as job descriptions, resumes, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee organizations. Bilingual skills preferred, English and Spanish.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Experience with Applicant Tracking System is preferred. Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to use various online sourcing tools.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will normally work in an office setting but may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions in both inside and outside environments. Travel may be required to remote facility locations and offsite locations to find and recruit applicants.
OTHER: Must be able to work independently, with limited supervision.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Occasionally, overtime or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstance arise.
