Job description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice. This AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital has been serving the Morris, Coal City, and surrounding Illinois communities since 1975 and is dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical care for pets of all ages and breeds. The practice is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking a supportive environment with advanced medical capabilities and a collaborative team culture.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animal patients. Responsibilities include preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, wellness exams, dental procedures, and both routine and advanced surgeries including orthopedic procedures, gastropexy, hernia repair, and foreign body removal. The role offers exposure to a varied caseload through the hospital's work as a referral center for orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Veterinarians will work closely with a supportive team while delivering high-quality patient care and building strong client relationships. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited, full-service veterinary hospital is equipped with advanced technology including an IDEXX in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram (EKG) capabilities. The practice also offers laser therapy and is a certified PennHIP provider utilizing specialized radiographic techniques for evaluating hip joint laxity in dogs. Services include preventative care, diagnostic care, surgical services, dental services, gastropexy, internal medicine, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, orthopedic surgery, foreign body removal, laser therapy, and hernia repair. The hospital also functions as a trusted referral center performing orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries for surrounding veterinary clinics. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and closed on Sundays.
