Job description

Summary
Nestvillage LLC is a small but growing startup company, and we are seeking a dedicated Recruiter to help us on our growth journey. The Recruiter will report jointly to the HR Department and Business Development, ensuring quick turnaround times on hiring across all Nestvillage locations. This role takes ownership of the full recruitment process - from sourcing and interviewing to hiring and onboarding - while collaborating with management for input as needed. The successful candidate will play a key role in building our workforce and supporting our mission of serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full recruitment cycle across all Nestvillage locations, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and hiring candidates with an emphasis on quick turnaround times.
  • Actively source candidates through job boards, social media, community networks, and direct outreach to maintain a strong applicant pipeline.
  • Post and refresh job ads promptly to keep listings visible, competitive, and up to date.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring professional, timely, and positive communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Represent Nestvillage at job fairs, hiring events, and community activities to promote the organization and attract quality applicants.
  • Independently conduct candidate interviews and assessments, incorporating input from managers as needed but taking ownership of final candidate recommendations.
  • Coordinate and manage pre-employment requirements such as reference checks, fingerprinting, background checks, and certification verification to expedite candidate clearance.
  • Facilitate rapid onboarding to ensure new hires complete documentation, compliance steps, and required training efficiently so they can start working quickly.
  • Maintain and update recruitment records and applicant tracking systems to provide clear, accurate status updates on candidates and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with HR and Business Development leadership to forecast staffing needs, prioritize urgent hiring requests, and align recruiting strategies with company growth.
  • Provide recruitment-related administrative support, including scheduling interviews, managing candidate pipelines, updating job postings, and ensuring compliance files are complete.
  • Continuously improve recruitment practices by applying best practices in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring to strengthen recruitment efficiency.

This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the Recruiter position and is not an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with it. Duties and expectations may be subject to change.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in leading interviews and evaluating candidates.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple hiring processes with quick turnaround.
  • Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and digital tools.
  • Preferred (but not required): Experience with BambooHR, Connecteams, G Suite, or Relias.
  • A plus: Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or in organizations that provide IDD services.
  • Passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

  • HR Specialist - focusing on compliance, employee relations, and HR administration.
  • HR Generalist - gaining broader exposure to benefits, policy, and employee engagement.
  • Recruiting Manager - leading recruitment strategy, employer branding, and managing a recruiting team

Nestvillage provides ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement, making this a strong career-building role for a motivated individual.
