About the Role:

KPM is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Marketing Intern to support our team with a blend of technical and administrative marketing tasks. This part-time position (15 hours/week) is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional services marketing environment. Please note that this internship is offered year round and is not limited to one semester. The ideal candidate will need to be available to start in August 2026.

The Marketing Intern will assist with marketing operations across several key areas including customer relationship management (CRM) tracking, proposal support, social media execution, website updates, newsletter preparation, event coordination, and community engagement initiatives. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of marketing disciplines while contributing meaningfully to the firm's brand and client experience.

Responsibilities:

Client & Prospect Activities

  • Print, bind, and assist with proposals and other deliverables
  • Track lead and prospect activity in CRM
  • Assist with client congratulations and referral gift fulfillment
  • Prepare marketing materials for client and prospect meetings

Conferences & Recruiting Marketing

  • Prepare marketing materials and promo items for conferences and recruiting events
  • Complete administrative follow-up tasks after events
  • Assist with recruiting campaigns and new hire engagement tasks
  • Monitor and maintain promotional item inventory

Community Engagement

  • Support KPM CARES programs, including Clients with a Cause and Community Cash activities

Digital & Print Communications

  • Draft the firm's weekly client newsletter and help prepare monthly industry newsletters
  • Review and edit weekly articles for SEO and formatting

Social Media Support

  • Help manage engagement with firm accounts
  • Assist with content creation, including photos, stories, Reels, and employee takeovers

Website Management

  • Post articles, news, and events to the website
  • Assist with minor edits and content updates

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a professional setting
  • Experience with Canva or WordPress is a plus (training available)
