Position Overview:

The Blood Connection is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our Donor Resources Department. This role is responsible for overseeing the success of a designated territory by managing existing blood drive accounts, identifying and securing new partners, and driving blood donor engagement and collection performance.

The Account Manager plays a key role in supporting The Blood Connection’s mission through strategic planning, relationship management, and community engagement. This position ensures optimal utilization of internal resources while working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet and exceed blood collection goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment and retention strategies to achieve blood collection goals within assigned territory.

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing blood drive sponsors while identifying and securing new sponsorship opportunities.

  • Establish blood drive collection projections aligned with organizational resources and community needs.

  • Plan and coordinate blood drives, utilizing best practices and proactive recruitment strategies.

  • Hold sponsor organizations accountable for meeting recruitment and participation targets.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators before, during, and after each drive.

  • Implement and support marketing initiatives to enhance donor participation and community awareness.

  • Collaborate with divisional team members to contribute toward overall team success and goal attainment.

  • Build and maintain volunteer committees to assist with donor recruitment and event execution.

  • Conduct presentations and educational sessions with sponsor groups to promote the importance of blood donation.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, sponsors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Represent The Blood Connection at community events, health fairs, houses of worship, and other outreach opportunities to promote the organization’s mission.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sponsor interactions and event outcomes.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, marketing, or related field.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate the mission and goals of The Blood Connection.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Professional demeanor and strong relationship-building skills across diverse populations and organizational levels.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and representing The Blood Connection positively in the community.
