The Activities Supervisor - Events & Group Recreation is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging recreational events and group experiences that enhance the overall guest experience. This role oversees holiday events, themed activations, birthday parties, and group recreation/team-building programs while supervising frontline staff, vendors, and event logistics. The Supervisor ensures all programs are safe, well-organized, on-brand, and delivered with exceptional service standards.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and execute holiday events, seasonal celebrations, themed activations, birthday parties, and group recreation/team-building programs.
  • Create and manage run-of-show timelines, staffing plans, and event logistics, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to brand standards.
  • Facilitate engaging group games, team-building activities, and recreational experiences for diverse ages and group types, adapting programming as needed.
  • Supervise, schedule, and train activities staff, leading pre-event briefings and on-site execution.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for guests, vendors, and internal departments during events.
  • Coordinate and manage external vendors, ensure timely arrival, proper setup, and compliance with safety and service standards.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining high energy, addressing guest needs, and adjusting programming in real time.
  • Oversee event setup, breakdown, safety compliance, and inventory of activity supplies and equipment.
  • Track attendance, staffing hours, incidents, and basic program metrics; provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support overall recreation operations and assist other areas during peak periods.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
  • 1-3 years of experience in recreation, events, hospitality, or group programming
  • Experience supervising staff or leading group activities
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
  • High energy, outgoing personality with a passion for guest service
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Preferred
  • Resort, hotel, cruise, or theme park experience
  • Experience leading team-building or programs relative
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Familiarity with AV equipment, games, and interactive programming

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs (event and activity equipment)
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
