Position Overview

Arcadia Counseling, LLC is seeking dedicated and fully licensed mental health counselors to join our vibrant team. This full-time role involves providing compassionate support and quality care to individuals grappling with various mental health challenges. As a mental health counselor, you will play an instrumental role in guiding clients through their pathways to recovery and fostering their overall mental well-being.

About the Organization

At Arcadia Counseling, LLC, located in the heart of New York, New York, we are committed to delivering accessible mental health services tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse clientele. Our organization thrives on a foundation of integrity, respect, and collaboration, striving to create a culture where every client feels supported and understood. We place a strong emphasis on continuous professional growth, with resources dedicated to enhancing knowledge of modern therapeutic techniques and approaches.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing counselors to maintain a flexible schedule while ensuring high-quality care to our clients. However, you will also have the option to engage in our outpatient office setting, which fosters a professional yet supportive community. As part of our team, you will work alongside other mental health professionals dedicated to creating a nurturing environment conducive to therapeutic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health conditions, leading to the formulation of tailored treatment plans.
  • Develop individualized therapy strategies that align with each clientโ€™s distinct challenges and recovery objectives, ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address issues like anxiety, depression, and relationship dynamics.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.
  • Engage in family therapy sessions when appropriate, educating and involving clients' family members in the treatment process to promote a supportive recovery environment.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring ethical practice and accountability.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work as a mental health counselor will have a direct impact on a diverse client population, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, age groups, and socio-economic statuses in New York. Your ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to suit each clientโ€™s cultural and personal context will be crucial in guiding them towards a successful recovery.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid professional license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology.
  • A masterโ€™s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Demonstrated specialized training and experience in mental health counseling, particularly with a focus on therapeutic modalities.
  • A thorough understanding and application of evidence-based practices suitable for various mental health disorders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and motivate clients effectively.
Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with prior experience in teletherapy environments or those who have worked with diverse populations in outpatient settings. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will also be advantageous in streamlining your workflow.

Compensation and Benefits
  • We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off to support your well-being and work-life balance.
  • Access to ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities, ensuring you remain at the forefront of mental health counseling practices.
  • A supportive and collaborative work atmosphere, characterized by a commitment to team building and continuous learning.
  • Opportunities to positively impact the lives of clients through meaningful and dedicated therapeutic work.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Arcadia Counseling, LLC, we appreciate and encourage career advancement. Counselors will have opportunities to take part in specialized training workshops, gain leadership roles, and contribute to the development of new counseling programs. We also support our counselorsโ€™ aspirations to become experts in specific therapeutic approaches or to engage in research that informs our practice.
