State Farm agent Loretta Jennings is seeking a dependable and organized Administrative Assistant – State Farm Agent Team Member to help support the daily operations of the office. In this role, the team member will work closely with the agent to assist with administrative tasks, maintain organization across office processes, and help ensure the team can provide outstanding service to customers.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys supporting a busy team environment. This position plays an important role in keeping the office running smoothly by assisting the agent with scheduling, communication, and general office coordination. The ideal candidate should also holds an active Property and Casualty Insurance license, enabling the team member to assist with servicing existing policies, including making policy changes and updates as directed by the agent.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, calendars, and general office communications to support the agent and team.
  • Assist with incoming inquiries and maintain organized, accurate customer records.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service, helping ensure questions and requests are handled promptly.
  • Follow up with customers as needed to support their service requests and policy needs.
  • Support the agent with day-to-day administrative tasks, office organization, and special projects to help keep operations running smoothly. 



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the business goals of the insurance agency with mutually agreed upon expectations.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
  • Use exemplary communication to efficiently meet the needs of customers while promoting the development of our business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • To be eligible for an internship, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship.
  • Coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, etc. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently
  • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
  • Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
