Job description

Job Title: Ribbon Associate
Department: Production
Location: Lugoff, SC
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: 6:45pm to 7:00am. Hours alternate weekly between 36 hours and 48 hours. You might train on days which is 6:45am – 7:00pm.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential.
Attendance Incentive: Employees who maintain perfect attendance earn an additional 5 percent of their weekly gross pay.
 

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Ribbon Associate responsible for pulling orders for production, setting up the line per design, running product correctly the first time, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Ribbon Associate will pull fibers and tooling for different design ribbons, fill out production reports, and complete requisitions for raw materials. This role includes loading and unloading bobbins and fiber spools and assisting in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
The associate must maintain required records according to work instructions, consistently observe established safety standards and guidelines, and consistently meet Division quality standards for all production. This role requires adherence to all Division policies, procedures, rules, and regulations currently in effect or established in the future.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages. Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and communicate effectively within a work group or team environment regarding all job requirements, functions, and duties. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply rules and regulations related to the safe handling of hazardous materials.
Physical Conditions
This role involves heavy lifting and moving of reels and bobbins. Associates will be exposed to noise, dust, and humidity that may cause discomfort, as well as machinery, tools, and electrical currents that may be potentially injurious, dangerous, or hazardous.
