Job Description
We are seeking a full time Automotive Reconditioning Technician to handle buffing, wet sanding, interior reconditioning, and general vehicle appearance work. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to restore vehicles to a clean, retail ready condition and maintains high standards for detail, speed, and accuracy. Flood Ford offers a strong work environment, top pay, and consistent workflow.

Full time

Work Requirements
• Work Schedule: 4 hour shifts, 8 hour shifts, evening shifts available
• Ability to Commute: East Greenwich, RI required
• Work Location: In person

Responsibilities
• Perform buffing, polishing, and wet sanding as needed
• Complete full interior reconditioning including vacuuming, shampooing, stain removal, plastics and vinyl restoration, and odor elimination
• Handle exterior washes, cleanup, and basic detailing tasks
• Inspect vehicles and identify areas needing correction or improvement
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in the reconditioning bay
• Follow all safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines
• Work efficiently to meet dealership timelines and quality standards
• Communicate with team members and managers regarding vehicle status and needs
• Ensure every vehicle leaves the shop in retail ready condition

Qualifications
• Prior reconditioning or detailing experience preferred
• Strong understanding of buffing, polishing, and wet sanding techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment without sacrificing quality
• Comfortable with physical work including bending, lifting, and extended periods standing
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, finished vehicles
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage workflow independently
• Experience with automotive chemicals and tools a plus
