Job description

Overview

Join the Titan Machinery team as a Case IH Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing diesel machinery diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and pre-delivery work on customer equipment, internal units, and warranty repairs at a high level of quality and efficiency. Work may be performed in the shop or in the field, and all assigned tasks must be completed safely, professionally, and profitably.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic, Repair, and Technical Expertise: Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Provide professional, timely, and courteous field service as directed by the Service Manager, including potential weekend and after-hours service calls.
  • Documentation and Communication: Communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines clearly with equipment owners, operators, and the service team. Request, install, and manage all parts and supplies required for equipment repairs. Complete work orders and all required service-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Technical Development and Customer Focus: Participate in ongoing professional and technical training to maintain current product knowledge and service capabilities. Proactively recommend maintenance, upgrades, or solutions that add value for customers and improve equipment performance. 
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Have 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program
  • 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision
  • Clean driving record
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights and perform 50% or more work offsite/in the field
  • Ability to work flexible/on-call hours
  • Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently 
  • Exceptional documentation and communication abilities 

Preferred:

  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to travel to customer and company locations
