Inventory Control Associate

**This is a facility with varying temperatures**

** This is a 1st shift 7am-3:30pm position**

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Associate supports Langham's life sciences logistics operations by ensuring accurate, compliant, and traceable inventory control activities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and client-specific requirements.

This role is responsible for conducting system-based and physical inventory counts using Langham's Warehouse Management System (WMS); identifying, investigating, and correcting inventory discrepancies; supporting inbound raw material verification; and maintaining inventory accuracy across regulated warehouse environments. The Inventory Control Associate plays a critical role in data integrity, inventory reconciliation, cold-chain compliance, and audit readiness.

All activities must be performed in compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements, including those related to hazardous materials, product segregation, temperature-controlled storage, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mandates applicable to GMP operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all inventory control activities in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and client quality standards.
  • Conduct accurate cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure alignment between system and physical inventory.
  • Utilize the WMS to manage inventory transactions, research discrepancies, and implement corrections per procedure.
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and timely records to support data integrity, traceability, and inspection readiness.
  • Identify, document, and escalate inventory variances, system errors, temperature concerns, or abnormal conditions to supervision and Quality.
  • Ensure materials are stored in approved bin locations based on temperature requirements, hazard classification, and segregation rules.
  • Inspecting parts using gauges and calipers to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
  • Investigating shortages, overages, and shipment discrepancies and communicating findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating return, quarantine, or disposition of nonconforming material per Quality direction.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a turret truck or similar material handling equipment.
  • Valid forklift/turret truck certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in narrow warehouse aisles.
  • Prior experience in a regulated environment preferred.

Physical movements including bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of daily work routine. This role requires regular and sustained work within temperature-controlled cold-chain environments maintained between 2ยฐC and 8ยฐC (35.6ยฐF to 46.4ยฐF). The individual must be able to perform job duties for the duration of their shift within these temperature ranges while wearing appropriate protective or cold-weather gear as required.

Candidates must acknowledge and demonstrate the physical ability to tolerate extended periods of work in refrigerated environments and to safely perform all essential job functions under these conditions.
