Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated, professional candidate for its Child Protective Services Evening Supervisor position. The successful candidate will join the Prevention and Protective Services division within a diverse department that envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. Job Summary Loudoun County Family Services is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and established professional candidate to lead the Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigations and Family Assessments (I&A) Evening Team. Highlights of the role: This position is eligible for a $3,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the county's hiring and retention bonus program. Flexible schedule with non-traditional hours.

Ability to utilize the support (people) and tools (systems) needed to be successful in the role. The CPS Evening Shift Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision and professional leadership to a dynamic team responding to the needs of our most vulnerable children and families. The selected candidate will oversee cases involving protective services to children and families, assuring that complaints, investigations, and assessments are managed according to federal, state, and local policies, including completeness and timeliness.

This position requires the individual to maintain a supportive work environment, with the ability to inspire and encourage productivity and teamwork amongst staff. Work is performed in a forward-thinking organization that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities, and needs. The successful candidate will: Establish performance expectations and goals for the team.

Lead a team of CPS workers with activities and plans to accomplish goals. Promote teamwork and cooperation in the unit. Cover emergencies and provide clinical direction to employees.

Lead unit meetings. Monitor staff compliance. Work with a diverse and multi-ethnic population and workforce.

Possess the ability to diffuse potentially volatile situations and deal with competing and demanding circumstances. Demonstrate capacity to manage crisis situations that require critical decisions involving people, resources, and property. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, with major coursework in a Human Services field preferred, AND four (4) years of directly related experience in a human services area to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field; clinical licensure Bilingual English and Spanish speaking abilities. Job Contingencies and Special Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful background check completion, including criminal, credit, DMV, and CPS/APS checks. Valid driver's license (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).

Hold or obtain licensure in Social Work, i.e., LCSW or LSW. Hold or obtain additional certifications preferred by the Department. Complete required County e-learning and MOAT training requirements as directed by the department
