About the Position

A family in Tarrytown, Austin is seeking an experienced Full-Time Nanny for their one-year-old daughter.

Both parents work from home and are actively involved. The father works primarily from a home office, and the mother is a recipe developer and content creator working between office and kitchen spaces. The nanny should be comfortable partnering with work-from-home parents while independently managing daily care and routines.

The family is seeking a long-term caregiver who provides consistent, developmentally appropriate care. They value warmth, clear communication, punctuality, discretion, and respect.

Faith is an important part of the household. The nanny must be comfortable in a Christian home and respectful of the family’s values and parenting approach.

Primary Responsibilities

Child Development

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care during working hours
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment
  • Plan age-appropriate educational, sensory, creative, and physical activities
  • Support gross motor, fine motor, language, social, and emotional development
  • Read daily and support early communication skills
  • Take the child on outings (parks, libraries, classes, walks, etc.)
  • Maintain consistent daily routines (meals, naps, play, outdoor time)
  • Support developmental transitions, including potty training, in partnership with parents
  • Follow the family’s approach to guidance and discipline
  • Track milestones and communicate updates or concerns
  • Maintain a daily log of meals, naps, activities, and notes
  • Supervise closely around the swimming pool and during outings

Child-Related Household Care

  • Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the child
  • Follow the family’s nutrition guidelines
  • Wash and sanitize bottles, dishes, and feeding items
  • Complete child’s laundry (wash, fold, organize, put away)
  • Keep nursery, playroom, and child-related areas clean and organized
  • Reset shared spaces after use
  • Rotate and organize toys, books, and clothing
  • Track supplies and notify parents when items need restocking
  • Pack child’s belongings for outings and travel

Both parents work from home in a quiet, structured environment. The mother occasionally films content in the home; the nanny will not be included in any filming.

The home is fragrance-free due to sensitivities. Only non-toxic products are used. The nanny must avoid strong fragrances on person, clothing, or belongings.

No pets in the home.

Travel

The family travels occasionally to Oregon and Pennsylvania, including long weekends.

They also spend extended time away during the summer and would like a nanny who can travel for periods of one month or longer. Travel details will be discussed in advance.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of professional nanny experience preferred
  • Strong infant and toddler experience required
  • Experience across multiple developmental stages preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record, and reliable vehicle
