Position Summary
The primary function of this new engineer position is to develop, optimize and maintain recipes for various tools and processes involved in fully automated TEM analysis workflow, including but not limited to automated TEM sample preparation using focused ion beam, automated TEM imaging and automated measurement of critical dimensions.
Additional functions of this engineer position include basic tool operation, alignment, calibration & maintenance, development of software or automated processes for better throughput, quality & TAT, acceptance and provision of peer trainings.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
  • Developing, optimizing and maintaining recipes for various tools using python, recipe editor or other similar programming tools.
  • Performing basic operation, alignment, calibration and maintenance of the tools involved in fully automated TEM analysis.
  • Providing timely support for recipe troubleshooting.
  • Learning new techniques and provide training to peer engineers/technicians
  • Identifying new opportunities and lead projects to improve the analytical work in terms of capability, quality, efficiency and cost saving

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • B.S. and above in Materials Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience on at least 2 of the following: AMHS, SEM, FIB, TEM, Metrology.
  • Fluent in python, recipe editor or other programming languages. Previous experience on recipe or software development is a plus.

The current base salary range for this role is between $71,000 to $252,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
