Many professions require periodic recertification to maintain high standards and verify that practitioners are knowledgeable about current best practices, technologies, or regulations. The process typically involves completing continuing education, passing an exam, or fulfilling specific work experience requirements. Recertification helps ensure public trust and professional competency.
