Job description

The receptionist is often the first point of contact a person has with Shadow Mountain Ministries. As such, the position is vital to the perception the community has of all the organizations that constitute Shadow Mountain Ministries. He/she helps to provide that personal touch that is so important to the ministries we provide. This role will fill the morning or afternoon reception shift on an as needed basis when our regular receptionists have time off.

Tasks Include:

  • Answer and route phone calls in a switchboard environment
  • Greet and assist people who come into the Administration Building
  • Sort mail
  • Aid delivery drivers or individuals who are dropping off or picking up items
  • Assist ministries with small projects as needed
  • Must be pleasant and welcoming on the phone and in person
  • Must be able to exhibit patience with difficult callers
  • Ability to multitask and successfully work in a busy environment
  • Basic computer skills navigate the Shadow Mountain website, Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Familiarity with Shadow Mountain and its ministries is a plus
