The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Helena, MT to identify a Health Unit Coordinator for the Emergency Department.

This role provides essential administrative and coordination support to the clinical team, helping ensure efficient department operations and accurate patient records.

Schedule: Nights | 12-hour shifts | 0.75 FTE

What You’ll Do

  • Provide indirect patient-care support under the direction of the Charge Nurse
  • Process and transcribe orders from patient records with accuracy
  • Coordinate communication and care activities among clinical teams
  • Arrange interfacility patient transportation
  • Maintain complete and accurate records
  • Compile information to support department workflows
  • Provide professional, empathetic support to patients, families, and team members
  • Adapt to changing priorities and department needs

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of hospital, healthcare, or clinical experience preferred
  • Previous administrative, clerical, receptionist, or healthcare support experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Open to feedback with a team-oriented approach & commitment to patient support and quality service
