Spa Receptionist & Attendant
Department: Spa & Wellness
Reports to: Spa Supervisor
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Spa Receptionist & Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the spa by providing exceptional guest service, maintaining pristine spa facilities, and assisting with front desk and treatment flow needs. This role is essential in creating a calm, welcoming, and luxurious spa environment that reflects Forbes Five-Star standards. With professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail, the Spa Receptionist & Attendant ensures each guest experience feels intentional, seamless, and restorative from arrival to departure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Welcomes spa guests with warmth and professionalism, providing clear communication about spa amenities, services, and expectations.
  • Assists with spa reception duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, guest check-in and checkout, retail sales, and processing payments.
  • Maintains cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all spa spaces including relaxation areas, locker rooms, restrooms, treatment rooms, and back-of-house areas.
  • Between services, prepares locker and treatment rooms according to spa Standard Operating Procedures including linen changes, sanitation, and restocking amenities.
  • Ensures towels, robes, slippers, water, tea, and spa amenities are stocked, fresh, and beautifully presented at all times.
  • Anticipates guest needs and responds promptly, discreetly, and graciously to requests or concerns.
  • Supports therapists and estheticians by assisting with room flow, laundry, and operational needs during busy periods.
  • Monitors spa equipment, furniture, and fixtures; reports maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and tranquil environment by following all safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Keeps storage, linen, and supply areas well-organized and properly stocked.
  • Promotes teamwork and service excellence through clear communication and collaboration with spa and resort team members.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Spa Supervisor or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in luxury hospitality, spa, wellness, or guest service roles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ability to work proactively, remain calm in a quiet luxury environment, and adapt to changing guest needs.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional, warm demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Comfortable using booking systems, phones, radios, and internal communication tools.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
