Job description

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add a full-time Receptionist to our growing Overland Park office. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They will demonstrate strong technical, customer service, and interpersonal skills, while maintaining a professional and organized front office presence. We are seeking someone with excellent communication abilities, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service to clients, visitors, and colleagues!

What you'll do:

As a Receptionist, you will be an integral member of our team, providing administrative and client service support to attorneys, paralegals, and clients while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the office.

  • Client Contact & Reception: Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls while providing exceptional customer service. Greet clients, visitors, and vendors, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Administrative Support: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office correspondence. Monitor and order office and kitchen supplies, maintain expense records, and provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Expense & Reimbursement Processing: Enter client and attorney expenses into the firm's case management and financial systems. Submit payment and reimbursement requests, maintain supporting documentation, and coordinate with the Accounting Department to ensure timely processing and accurate recordkeeping.

What we're looking for:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to provide administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff in the Overland Park office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, or law firm experience is preferred but not required.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a business setting preferred.
  • Highschool Diploma or GED.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
