Job Title: Receptionist/Office Assistant
Reports to: Principal
Location: Saint Martha Catholic School | Sarasota, FL
Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt
Overview:
Saint Martha Catholic School is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Answer telephone and take messages or forward calls.
  • Greet and welcome vendors, families, students, and other visitors.
  • Check visitors in and inform employee of visitor arrival for pick up.
  • Maintain attendance system.
  • Record absent notes and file.
  • Check students in or out.
  • Provide general information about the organization to the public and families.
  • Copy, file, and maintain paper or electronic documents and records.
  • Help with hospitality set-up & breakdown.
  • Help with school mass mailings & special events.
  • Assist with other tasks, as needed or assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as Receptionist, Office Assistant or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment such as computers, copiers and fax machines.
  • Excellent communication and clerical skills; ability to work well with others.
  • Functions well under pressure; reacts calmly in emergencies and stressful situations.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills.
