Job description

A healthcare network in Central New York is seeking a new Medical Receptionist for a Per Diem opportunity at one of their outpatient orthopedic facilities in Madison County.
About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Per Diem (Sept 15 to Sept 17 and Oct 27 to Oct 29 and Nov 3 to Nov 5)
  • Hours: 8am to 4pm
  • Setting: Outpatient specialty practice
Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients, visitors, and customers in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner
  • Answer telephones, take accurate messages, and route communications appropriately
  • Perform outpatient registration, scheduling, and follow-up appointment coordination
  • Enter and update patient demographic, profile, and visit information in the system
  • Support front-desk operations by assisting with patient flow, records preparation, and related administrative tasks
Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Computer savvy
  • Microsoft Office proficient
Desired Skills:
  • Experience as a Medical Receptionist
  • Insurance Verification experience
  • MEDENT experience
  • Experience in a Physician Office, Orthopedic Practice, Outpatient Clinic, Specialty Clinic, Family Medicine, or Hospital-based Ambulatory setting
