Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Receptionist at Alegent Creighton Clinic, you will be the welcoming face and first point of contact for our patients, embodying our commitment to humankindness and efficient healthcare delivery. This pivotal front-office role involves performing diverse business office and reception duties with accuracy and minimal supervision, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every individual entering our facility. You'll be central to maintaining our patient-centered environment and supporting our mission.

Every day you will manage incoming phone calls, expertly scheduling patient appointments according to office guidelines, and greeting and registering patients with warmth and efficiency. You'll meticulously collect, verify, and update essential patient demographic and insurance information, including co-pays and deductible amounts. This role also involves preparing patient charts, conducting all check-in and check-out functions, processing payments, coordinating follow-up appointments, and ensuring timely communication regarding any appointment delays.

To be successful in this patient experience specialist role, you will need at least one year of experience in customer service, clerical, or business-related functions, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Your commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to all clinic and regulatory policies, and embodying our core values will be paramount. We are seeking a detail-oriented, empathetic individual with excellent communication skills to contribute to our medical administration and patient access team.

Job Requirements

Required

  • One year of customer service experience, clerical, or business-related experience
