Come work as a Senior Intake & Clinical Associate with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in the Transition Services team at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, B.C. Apply now to join our team!ย 

Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, position works in a team-based environment and provides supervision and work direction to designated clerical staff. Is responsible for providing a variety of administrative, clerical and other related duties for designated team(s) in the operation of day-to-day activities and long range planning across multiple sites. Duties include preparing community and team intake referrals, nursing & allied staff rotations, maintaining staffing schedules and records on regular and relief staff and processing accurate timekeeping records. Maintains the designated team's appointment calendar, screens incoming mail and calls, maintains the accuracy and integrity of statistical records and reports, arranges ongoing education lectures and processes petty cash reimbursements and education funding requests. Arranges and participates in meetings, prepares agendas and takes minutes. Prepares technical and non-technical material utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, database applications and clinical information systems such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, PCIS Last Word, CareConnect, e-Pro, MS-Outlook, LOKI and PARIS. Performs reception duties, maintains sufficient levels of general office supplies, oversees the modification, maintenance and purchase of equipment and sets up and maintains department filing systems.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, plus three (3) years' recent related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to supervise.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
