Job description

The Warehouse Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound shipments, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. This role supervises receiving staff, enforces safety and quality standards, and coordinates with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments with multiple LTL/Freight carriers
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked against purchase orders and properly documented
  • Lead, train, and evaluate receiving staff to maintain productivity and accuracy
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receipts and corrective measures
  • Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments
  • Coordinate dock schedules and communicate with carriers and suppliers
  • Monitor and improve receiving processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
  • Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and procurement teams
  • Responsible for receiving equipment like fork lifts, pallet jacks, etc

Qualifications
