Our core roadway product lines include, guardrail, end terminals, steel barriers, crash cushions and sign supports. Valtir is dedicated to bringing the next generation of innovative safety products to an ever-changing market.

Valtir is hiring Shipping/Receiving Manager to support our Fort Worth, TX manufacturing facility. This position will oversee all work activities of the shipping/receiving employees and support the daily operations for the department.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage and direct a team, including hiring training and scheduling Shipping and Receiving Admins
  • Manage inventory and collaborate with inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Direct employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements
  • Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and disciplinary action when necessary
  • Must meet all required expectations of Safety, Quality
  • Meet and exceed organizational goals through optimal utilization of personnel and resources
  • Serve as a medium of communication between employees and upper management
  • Motivate employees by resolving issues and making sound decisions
  • Leverage ERP tools to ensure outbound loads are met in a timely manner
  • Leverage ERP tools ensuring items are packed and shipped, timely
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing shipping role
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred
  • Must be able to identify and solve complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity.
  • Computer literacy, basic understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of safety and quality policies/procedures
  • Strong ability to motivate team members
  • Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently including operating forklifts and cranes

  • Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy.
  • The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
