Position Summary: 

Responsible for a variety of routine tasks and functions to receive, ship, and distribute supplies to hospital departments, providing timely and accurate availability of required supplies.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating dock traffic and deliveries.
  • Receives, verifies, and inspects incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Resolves shipping discrepancies and collaborates with Purchasing on delivery issues.
  • Prepares and processes outgoing shipments, including returns, repairs, and required documentation.
  • Performs data entry and maintains accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Coordinates delivery and handling of capital equipment, supplies, implants, biologics, tissue, and medications.
  • Partners with Clinical Engineering to manage equipment check-in and check-out processes.
  • Prioritizes and distributes supplies and materials to requesting departments in a timely manner.
  • Supports inventory management activities, including stock validation, put-away processes, and inventory counts.
  • Maintains organized records, a clean work environment, and effective communication with internal and external customers while performing other assigned duties.
Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, preferred.

Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience in supply chain warehousing, receiving dock, or shipping and receiving.
  • Experience with use of heavy equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, dock equipment, preferred.
  • Familiarity with automated Supply Chain Management systems.
