Job description

Key Responsibilities


Dock Coordination
- Review daily appointment schedules and coordinate planned dock assignments with security and warehouse leadership.
- Assign inbound loads to the appropriate doors and employees based on content, staging needs, and operational flow.
- Set up iOS equipment and Work POs, distribute work assignments, and support efficient receiving execution throughout the shift.
Receiving Control
- Validate receipts, confirm variances, document issues on BOLs or supporting paperwork, and ensure required receiving documents are printed and filed.
- Confirm time, date, receiver, door assignment, and public warehouse information as applicable.
- Escalate receiving problems, no-PO or item-not-set-up situations, and location issues to management promptly.
Safety & Facility Standards
- Ensure dock doors, restraints, lights, chocks, and related dock equipment are safe and functional before work begins.
- Collect operator checklists, document unsafe equipment, and ensure issues are recorded in DECR or other approved systems.
- Enforce dock safety standards, including vehicle restraint requirements, PPE, and safe equipment use around trucks and trailers.
Communication & Records
- Serve as a primary day-side contact for appointment follow-up with carriers and internal teams.
- Support public warehouse information capture and other inbound reporting requirements.
- Submit hard-copy receiving documents for filing and maintain organized inbound records.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse, receiving, dock, or logistics coordination experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple appointments and documentation streams at once.
- Comfort working in VIP, EasyOps, Excel, and other warehouse or scheduling systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively around PIT traffic in a physically active dock environment.
Success in This Role Looks Like
- Inbound loads are assigned, received, and validated with minimal confusion or downtime.
- Dock paperwork is accurate, organized, and ready for both operations and office follow-up.
