Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the position is responsible for processing requests from various users for needed items. The incumbent receives and ships items and manages inventories accordingly.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize, manage, and oversee purchase requisitions for various Business Unit users and Fleet Support
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as forklifts, pallet jacks and handcarts, to load and unload vehicles; Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material within and outside designated areas • Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
  • Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventories as required; retain and ship parts per the Company's Warranty Retention and Core Management procedures
  • Stock inbound parts to proper storage locations and update information systems • Ship parts' requests for purchase orders and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair and/or cost center
  • Receive inbound shipments of parts to ensure proper quantity ordered and free of damage
  • Monitor requests/issues from Vendors to ensure orders are processing correctly • Review/follow-up of back orders and receipts by verifying tracking information with supported locations and interacting with supply vendors as needed
  • Answer item-related questions; troubleshoot issues and inquiries from various Business Unit/Fleet Support users and vendors
  • Process purchase orders to vendors and verify receipt of products

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-2 years of related experience and/or training and/or military equivalent
  • AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
  • Possess a forklift certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean motor vehicle record per J.B. Hunt standards

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively
  • Ability to document information and make quick decisions
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds)

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
