Job description

Position: Receiving Associate
Location: Seattle (Ballard)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $22 - $24
 
Express Employment Professionals - North Seattle is hiring a Receiving Associate for our client, a well-respected manufacturer in the marine industry.
 
In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately receiving and processing incoming shipments, verifying shipping documentation, and repackaging products to ensure they are properly staged and ready for distribution. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires a strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documentation, including part numbers, quantities, and labeling
  • Accurately repackage, label, and stage products for storage or distribution
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the appropriate team members
  • Maintain organized and accurate receiving records in the inventory system
  • Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and shipping documentation
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
  • Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred
  • Forklift certification a plus; willingness to obtain certification required
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment, a bonus
Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and remain on your feet for the majority of the workday
  • Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35–40 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting required
