Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Zion, IL. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all inbound shipments. This role is essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and ensuring products are received in good condition and according to company standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inspection
  • Receive incoming shipments from vendors, carriers, and internal transfers.
  • Inspect incoming products for damage, quantity discrepancies, and quality concerns.
  • Verify packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documentation for accuracy.
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to supervisors and assist with resolution processes.
Documentation & Inventory Control
  • Accurately enter received materials into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.
  • Label, tag, and organize received products as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inbound shipments and receiving activities.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Warehouse Coordination
  • Move, stage, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment when certified.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient product flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
Safety & Compliance
