Job Title WORK STUDY STUDENT ASSISTANT-SHIPPING/RECEIVING (Pool) Position Status Work Study Classification Title CWS-Up to 15 hpw Work Location Main Campus-3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX Job Summary
Assist with shipping, receiving, and delivery of items from freight companies including processing necessary documents and confirming receipt of such items.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
  • Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College's insurance policy
Preferred Qualifications Essential Functions
  • Receiving and checking in shipments from various freight companies including FedEx and UPS
  • Delivery of shipments to the correct departments on the College campus
  • Safely drive a golf cart
  • Must follow safety guidelines and utilize proper lifting and carrying techniques
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • Capable of climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, and repetitive twisting
