Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately loading/unloading finished goods according to company policies as well as ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery at all times. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring Receiving and Shipping procedures are implemented and continuously adhered to, per written procedures.
  • Responsible for the rotation of finished goods in inventory to ensure inventory is used on a FIFO basis.
  • Communicate with Warehouse Manager as to the condition and quality of incoming materials and potential issues relating to performance of production and plant warehouse receiving.
  • Assist with inventory of finished goods and reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end inventory.
  • Availability to perform job duties in any AbiMar location.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
  • Responsible for operating forklift and other machinery in a safe & professional manner.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of receiving and shipping paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
  • Accept and adapt easily to change
  • Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement
  • Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation
