SUMMER REC ASSISTANT SWIM COACH

CLOSING DATE: Open until Filled

PAY RANGE: $13.10 - $15.71/Hour (Depending on Qualifications & Experience)

SCHEDULE: Part-Time - Temporary (May 1st until August 8th)

DEPARTMENT: Recreation


JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to coach children in the four competitive strokes of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Set up and run swim camps and pre-season tryouts.
  • Communicate with parents;
  • Plan practices and swim meet relays.
  • Reports directly to the Summer Rec Head Swim Team Coach.
  • Attends all applicable meetings with coaches.
  • Required to attend all swim camps, tryouts, practices, and swim meets.
  • Schedule is generally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. plus attend all swim camps, practices and Saturday swim meets.
  • Experience in competitive swimming and previous coaching preferred.



Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
