Job description

Position Summary:
Private Country Club in Boca Raton seeking to hire a Rec Room Attendant to provide supervision and care for the children of members and guests when using the Rec Room or any of the Clubs facilities.
Essential Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Direct supervision of children in the Rec Room according to Club rules and regulations;
Plan and implement age appropriate activities;
Maintenance and organization of supplies (e.g. games, snacks);
Maintain inventory of supplies (e.g. games, electronic devices, snacks)
Provide a safe and clean environment for the children and guests;
Arrange and distribute snacks as necessary;
Attend childrens events and activities as needed;
Report all incidents and/or illnesses;
Perform housekeeping duties such as wiping equipment, vacuuming, and dusting;
Maintain records of attendance, sign in and out sheets;
Provide administrative support as needed such as answering phones, front desk, copying, faxing, filing
Competenciesto perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:
Ability to give and follow oral instructions;
Ability to direct children in activities;
General knowledge of age level expectations;
Ability to plan and organize childrens activities;
Willingness to become CPR certified;
Willingness to work a changing schedule;
Demonstration of accuracy and is detail-oriented;
Ability to cope to with a changing environment.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED or Minimum of two years college education;
Knowledge of youth, event-related experience helpful;
Minimum of one year working with youth needed.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use the hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
