What is the REC Foundation?

The REC Foundation, or Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing student interest and involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through robotics and engineering competitions. The foundation organizes events like the VEX Robotics Competition, which provides hands-on opportunities for students to learn teamwork, problem-solving, and technical skills. Their programs are designed for students from elementary school through college and help foster innovation, creativity, and leadership. The REC Foundation also provides resources, grants, and support for educators and mentors involved in robotics education.

As a member of the Rec Foundation team, you'll likely be involved in organizing and managing educational robotics competitions, developing STEM outreach programs, and collaborating with schools, volunteers, and industry partners. Your daily responsibilities may include event planning, volunteer coordination, and supporting the logistics of large-scale tournaments. Team members often work closely together in a collaborative environment, sharing ideas and responsibilities to ensure the success of programs that inspire students to pursue STEM careers.
