• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs, utilizing tools and methodologies to ensure accurate evaluation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals, adapting strategies as necessary.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals and families, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve mental wellness.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support to students, addressing both academic and emotional challenges.
• Provide educational resources and referrals to clients and their families regarding mental health services, community resources, and support systems.
• Stay current with developments in mental health practices, attending professional development opportunities and participating in team meetings to share insights.

This role primarily focuses on children, adolescents, and their families within the school setting. You will encounter a diverse range of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and trauma. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying challenges and providing essential support to encourage resilience and positive coping strategies.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
• Strong skills in conducting clinical assessments and treatment planning, with the ability to create actionable strategies that lead to effective outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and school personnel.

• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, ideally working with children and adolescents.
• Experience in school systems or educational environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care.
