Job description

Under the general direction of the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager performs a variety of management functions relating the operation of our sales office that are important to the success of the company.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all phases of office management, including the recruitment, retention and training of sales associates to build productivity. Including, supervising the sales associates and support staff.
  • Provide leadership surrounding the support of affiliated businesses and is responsible for the strong fiscal management of the office profit and loss.
  • Responsible for the compliance with Long & Foster Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient, profitable and productive operation with a professional office atmosphere; and for assisting associates with sales/performance related problems.
  • Actively promotes affiliated Company businesses and works to increase the capture rate of the affiliates.

  • Actively participates in community activities, local and state Board of Realtors, so the Company will be viewed in the best possible light by clients, sales associates, competitors, and the public within the branch office location.
  • Performs other related duties of a comparable type as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business related field with advanced professional management training; or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
Experience:
  • Six+ years of demonstrated managerial and supervisory experience with a minimum of Three+ years of Real Estate Experience/background.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience is preferable as is experience in the location where the office is located.
  • Extensive experience in handling real estate transactions; knowledge of legal obligations of Realtors under state and federal laws, Department of Commerce Rules & Regulations, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities; sound human-relational skills involved in recruiting, training and managing performance of people; conflict/change management skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently. Strong organizational skills with a high degree of quality and detail orientation.
  • High degree of integrity; knowledgeable of the technical skills related to real estate; must possess financial skills to manage the operational budget.
  • Ability to work independently and under extreme deadline pressure; resourceful and action-oriented.
  • Ability to define and shape strategy, yet possess a strong tactical orientation in order to obtain results.
Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.):
  • Must be a licensed Realtor and Broker with continuing education credits in real estate and management.
  • Must have real estate experience and a license consistent with the regulations in the state where the office is located.
  • Must meet all continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the license
Wage:

$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.
